Retreat House Membership is aimed at Christian retreat houses or centres (50 beds or under) whose primary focus is offering spaces for retreat.

For nearly 40 years CRNet has provided membership services to conference centres, activity centres, retreat houses, campsites and holiday providers involved in Christian residential ministry across the UK, as well as providing resources for people looking for a venue. Through the benefits that CRNet offer, members can accomplish, more effectively, the unique work to which God has called them.
As a Retreat House Member, you will receive all the benefits and services listed below, and much more!
1. Promotion of your Retreat Centre / House on VenueFinder - CRNet’s VenueFinder platform gives your Retreat Centre /House a promotional listing which will be shown when enquirers search for criteria which match what your venue offers, alongside a map of all venues.
2. Promotion of your Retreats - Advertise each of your residential retreats in the retreats section on our website.
3. Networking Forums - We host a number of online forums that bring people together based on shared roles and responsibilities, creating focused spaces for those facing similar situations to connect, share best practice and offer collective wisdom. Forums include Finance, HR and Trustees and Safeguarding.
4. In Person Meetings – We host face to face meetings including a Scottish Regional Meeting and occasional Retreat Gatherings. The meetings are an opportunity to discuss issues, share ideas and support one another.
5. Discounts from a range of Suppliers - CSCBG UK (Christian Supply Chain Buying Group) offers a number of discounts on items such as food, beds, mattresses, linen, telephony, insurance and utilities at discounts which are unavailable elsewhere. For more information, visit www.cscbg.org.uk
6. Advertise Jobs – You can advertise jobs in the Jobs section of our website and on our LinkedIn page. We have a set rate for listing your roles, which remain live until you fill the vacancy. Volunteering roles can be listed free of charge. We also offer a Job Listing Package deal whereby you can advertise unlimited listings for a set fee per annum.
7. Together Mailing – Our mailing by email which highlights everything that is going on in the sector, including events and training with which you and your teams can be involved.
8. Bulletin - An email update that keeps you informed of member news and legislation issues.
9. CORE - Our magazine with news and articles on Christian residential ministry. Published three times a year.
10. National Conference – CRNet run a conference every year for fellowship, training and networking. Our next National Conference takes place at The Hayes Conference Centre (DE55 1AU) from Tues 12th to Thurs 14th January 2027.
11. Elevate – CRNet run a three day leadership development programme for emerging Christian leaders serving in residential ministry. The dates for 2026 are Tues 17th to Thurs 19th November at Highgate House, Northamptonshire. See more here – www.crnet.org.uk/elevate

15. Venue 360 – Access to discounted rates with Venue 360, a comprehensive Booking Management System now in use for CRNet Members. It’s a complete cloud-based booking system for camps and centres, managing all aspects of enquiries, booking and invoicing for residential centres. The software integrates easily with Facebook, your own website and the CRNet Venue Finder service, giving one click responses with full details for enquirers and enabling you to track enquiries.

Benefits and Services for Retreat House Members:
As a membership association, we rely on donations from our members to continue the valuable work we do. Our suggested minimum donation for membership is detailed below.
Suggested Minimum Donation:
Small - up to six beds = £68 p.a.
Medium - between seven and 20 beds = £95 p.a.
Large - between 21 and 50 beds = £179 p.a.
51 beds and over - classed as a Centre (including free listing on VenueFinder and option to promote residential retreats on CRNet website at no extra cost)
All our members are required to affirm the acceptance of the CRNet Statement of Faith.

Our commitment to safeguarding:
As a membership association for Christian residential ministry, we place safeguarding of the upmost importance.
Whilst Christian Residential Network is not responsible for safeguarding issues arising within its membership, we do expect all members to have a safeguarding policy (and associated procedures) in place protecting children and adults with care and support needs/risk of harm. We ask all our members to confirm the above when signing up and on renewal.
Where there are allegations of illegal activity and/or safeguarding concerns that require reporting to statutory agencies, we expect members to follow through with it in a timely and effective manner.
